Pastor Tyrone Curtis |
Born in the hills and mountains of Bluefield, West Virginia on November 21, 1958, salvation happened for Pastor Curtis at age 13 in his chilhood hometown of Bluefield, WV where he realized that although he was living a "good" life, he was still a sinner in need of the only true Savior - Jesus Christ. He came to Dayton, Ohio in 1981.
FAMILY:
Married 24 years to wife Chari, they have two adult daughters: Kyndel of Huber Heights, OH, and Taylor of Dayton, OH.
EDUCATION:
Completed his major in Business Administration at Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH).
SERVICE:
15 years as Senior Pastor of Calvary Grace Brethren Church of Dayton, OH; 6 years as Chairman of the Board for the Miami Valley (Ohio) Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship; 8 years as Student Services Advisor for Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio; 8 years as Men's Workshop Speaker for Cedine Ministries in Spring City, Tennessee.
Past Ministry positions include:
Assistant Pastor for 10 years; Youth Pastor for 10 years; Adult & Children church class teacher for 20 years;
Deacon for 5 years.
PASSIONS:
Spending quality time with family, teaching & preaching the Bible, counseling adults & students, and playing basketball (which he was a two-time All-American in college).
FUTURE ENDEAVORS:
Pastor Curtis is pursuing a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
